Overview

This is a HIPAA-compliant e-fax integration for Caspio applications. The
App leverages SR Fax to securely send, receive, and track faxed
documents. Despite being a legacy technology, faxing remains widely
used—particularly in healthcare—and this component offers a practical
solution with minimal setup and low cost.

2. This Fax Integration

The App allows sending and receiving faxes through Caspio REST APIs to
SR Fax.

Purpose:

• Enable businesses—especially in healthcare—to fax securely.
• Attach text notes and PDF documents (such as invoices).
• Track fax delivery status.

3. How the process works

• Caspio sends a REST request to SR Fax, which operates via a queueing
  system.
• Faxes may take a few minutes to process (e.g., 3–4 minutes).
• Users can:

• Enter fax text
• Attach one or more PDFs
• Send directly from the Caspio interface
• View the attached PDF in the Documents section
• Track whether the fax is queued or completed

4. SR Fax portal and alerts

The SR Fax portal shows:

• Fax status
• Attached PDF documents
• Original message text

Users receive email or SMS alerts for incoming faxes. Alerts may be
triggered by SR Fax or by Caspio.
